Frequently asked questions about interoperability between Outlook and OneDoc Pro

What does OneDoc Pro offer me in addition to Outlook?

OneDoc Pro complements your Outlook software by adding features focused on appointment management, patient relations, and online visibility.

You benefit from online appointment booking synchronized with your Outlook calendar, improved visibility on Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT, simplified patient referrals, and the ability to offer secure video consultations.

While Outlook manages the medical and internal administrative aspects of your practice (patient records, billing, prescriptions), OneDoc Pro enhances the patient experience and lightens your daily workload — without requiring you to change your medical software.

How does the connector between Outlook and OneDoc Pro work?

The connector between OneDoc Pro and Outlook enables automatic, two-way synchronization. Once activated, no manual action is required.

When a patient books an appointment online via OneDoc, it is automatically recorded in Outlook, along with all relevant details (reason, patient, time). Likewise, appointments entered manually in Outlook automatically block the corresponding time slots on OneDoc, preventing double bookings.

Is the connection between OneDoc Pro and Outlook secure?

Yes. The connection between OneDoc Pro and Outlook is secure. Only the data necessary for appointment synchronization (time slots, consultation reasons, and patient contact details) is exchanged between the two systems.

All exchanges use protocols that comply with current security standards. OneDoc hosts its data exclusively in Switzerland, in compliance with the New Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), and is ISO 27001 and DCPO certified. Connector installation is handled by the OneDoc team in coordination with Microsoft to ensure a reliable, stable, and regulation-compliant integration.

What if something needs to be adjusted in the synchronization?

The synchronization between OneDoc Pro and Outlook is designed to work reliably every day. If an occasional adjustment is needed — for example, after changing your availability settings — simply contact our support team.

We will perform the necessary checks to identify the cause of the issue and resolve it quickly. If the matter involves Outlook, we will contact their technical support directly to ensure effective follow-up. In all cases, you will be kept informed.

What do I need to do to set up the connector between Outlook and OneDoc Pro?

You don’t need to do anything. Our team will contact Microsoft, who will provide us with the necessary information to activate the connector between Outlook and OneDoc Pro.
