What are the new Tarif 590 positions in 2026?
In 2026, no new tariff positions have been added to Tarif 590.
However, several existing positions have been removed or merged, to simplify and harmonize billing, especially in the field of acupuncture. If you’re an ASCA member, you can check our correspondence table to see which ASCA methods correspond to Tarif 590 positions.
What are the changes to Tarif 590 in 2026?
The 2026 update to Tarif 590 mainly focuses on the removal of certain positions and their replacement with a single one, to clarify usage and avoid duplication.
Removal of several tariff positions
As of January 1, 2026, the following positions are removed and can no longer be used:
- 1027 (chapter 5.4), Bioresonanz-Therapie, pro 5 Min.
- 1141 (chapter 5.4), Dorn-/Breuss-Therapie, pro 5 Min.
Adjustments for acupuncture
If you practice acupuncture, the following positions are now replaced by a single position, 1004, Acupuncture, per 5-minute period:
- 1064, Laser-Akupunktur, pro 5 Min.
- 1071, Moxibustion, pro 5 Min.
- 1077, Ohrakupunktur, pro 5 Min.
From January 1, 2026, you’ll need to use position “1004 Akupunktur, pro 5 Min.” for these treatments.
