OneDoc allows patients to search for healthcare professionals based on their specialty and location. To do this, our algorithm takes several criteria into account, which we will explained on this page.
When searching on OneDoc, how are the results displayed?
Search results are then displayed according to four distinct categories:
- Healthcare professionals who offer online appointment booking and practice in the user’s search area.
- Healthcare professionals who offer online appointment booking and practice within a radius of about 25 km.
- Healthcare professionals who do not offer online appointment booking and practice in the search area.
- Healthcare professionals who do not offer online appointment booking and practice within a radius of about 25 km.
All the results for a category are shown before any subsequent categories are displayed. The order of appearance of healthcare professionals in categories 1 and 2 also depends on the date of the practitioner’s first availability and the number of availabilities in the next 3 days.
To prevent any healthcare professional from being favored over another, the displayed search results are randomly re-sorted within each category.
In the first two categories, only healthcare professionals who offer online appointment bookings to their patients through onedoc.ch or our apps (iOS, Android) are displayed. In case of termination of the OneDoc subscription by the healthcare professional or by OneDoc, the healthcare professional ceases to use the services and is no longer listed on the platform.
A healthcare professional may also request to be delisted from the OneDoc platform.
There are no financial connections of any kind between healthcare professionals and OneDoc that could influence the listing of professionals on the platform.
Which healthcare professionals are listed in the OneDoc directory?
In Switzerland, there is no official, regularly updated, and complete register that lists all healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists, therapists, etc.) with a practice permit. OneDoc combines information from various sources (Localsearch, FMH, the cantonal medical societies, ASCA/RME, etc.) to provide the most comprehensive directory possible. We also directly respond to requests from healthcare professionals to add, delete, or correct information. We do our best to keep this information up-to-date and complete.
All healthcare professionals in Switzerland are likely to be listed in our OneDoc directory unless we have received a request for delisting from them.
Despite our efforts, some information may be incorrect (e.g., the relocation of a healthcare professional, a new language spoken, a new specialization, etc.). In such cases, our teams can be contacted through the “Modify This Information” button at the bottom of the practitioner page. We will then correct the data as soon as possible.
