New to OneDoc? It’s important to let your patients know that they can now book an appointment online. In fact, the majority of patients in Switzerland prefer to book an appointment directly online, without going through the telephone secretariat. In this article, you’ll find all our tips for communicating to your patients about the new option of booking an appointment online.
1. Communicate within your practice
- Welcome kit: OneDoc provides flyers to display in your practice so that you can share them with your patients. If you run out of these, feel free to contact us.
2. Announce that you can book an appointment online on your voicemail
Adapt your voicemail message to inform your patients about online booking. This will redirect patients calling outside office hours to your OneDoc profile and relieve your secretarial workload.
Here’s an example of a message you can record on your answering machine:
“Hello, this is the practice of Dr. X, general practitioner. We are not available at the moment, but you can make an appointment directly on the onedoc.ch website. In case of an emergency, please call 144. See you soon!”
3. Make the most of your email signature and automatic emails
Add the link to your OneDoc profile in your email signature and also in your automatic reply emails, for example:
“Book your next consultation online at onedoc.ch”
4. Announce the possibility of booking an appointment online by e-mail
Send an email to your patients informing them that they can book an appointment online. Don’t forget that you can also include a link to your OneDoc profile!
5. Add this option to your Google Business Profile account
Add the link to your OneDoc profile to your Google Business Profile page, to make it easier for your patients and give you more visibility.
