In 2025, no new positions have been added to Tarif 590. However, some key adjustments have been made to existing positions.

 

What are the changes to Tarif 590 in 2025?

The changes this year are primarily editorial, designed to clarify descriptions and simplify billing processes.

  • Position 1146:  The description of this position was changed in all languages (German, French and Italian) to clarify what this therapy is.
  • Position 1205: The term “leech therapy” has been updated to be clearer in all languages. This change applies to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurvedic medicine, and Traditional European Natural Medicine (TEN.
  • Position 1213: “Massage techniques, per 5-minute period” no longer includes fascia therapy. This update, relevant for TEN practitioners and certified medical massage therapists, ensures greater consistency in patient care.

 

Which Tarif 590 positions have been removed in 2025?

Position 1079: “Ear candling therapy” has been removed. It will no longer be available for use as of January 1, 2025.

 

When do the Tarif 590 changes take effect?
